From. 1979-1992, the Creative Arts Collective presented the Creative Music at the DIA concert series under the artistic direction of CAC Executive Director A. Spencer Barefield. The award-winning series presented world-acclaimed musicians and commissioned new, experimental and avant garden jazz in the Recital Hall of the DIA in Detroit, Michigan.
